Festival X

5-7 November

Festival X is back in 2021! The festival is a showcase of creative work achieved by UON Visual Communication Design, Music, Communication, Natural History Illustration and Creative Industries students. The virtual event will include a virtual gallery, live performances, short films, animation as well as documentaries all created by graduating School Of Creative Industries Students.

Recovery Run Newcastle

Sunday 14 November 8:00am-12:00pm

Miss being outside and active during lockdown? The Recovery Run Newcastle is a one time event celebrating coming out of lockdown, and a return to community events. The run offers 5km or 10km courses, taking place along Newcastle’s scenic foreshore including Foreshore Park, Wharf Road, Camp Shortland near Horseshoe beach, the Break-wall and Bathers way. If the stunning scenery isn’t enough motivation to get involved, participants will also receive Recovery Run merch and medal on completion of the course.

Markets

Markets are back in action in Newcastle! If you’re looking to make the most of the warm weather and tick of your Christmas shopping list, there are plenty of markets to explore in Newcastle this November:

Homegrown Markets @ The Station 

Saturday 13 November & Saturday 27 November, 9:00 am -2:00pm

The Homegrown Markets specialise in handmade, eco-friendly products, live music, as well as providing numerous food and drink stalls to explore.

Made & Found

Sunday 14 November, 10:00am -2:00pm

New to Newcastle this November is the Made & Found market in Redhead, where you’ll find an assortment of vintage and pre-loved clothing sellers as well as street food and live music. Get a group of friends together and find some vintage bargains!

Olive Tree Markets

Saturday 20 November

The Olive Tree Markets will be returning to Civic Park in November, showcasing the work of local artists and designers as well as plenty of street food stalls.

Friday Night Feast

Friday 12 November, 5:00-9:00pm

Held on the second Friday of each month at The Station, Friday Night Feast includes street food, market stalls and live music.
