Mac The Knife Tour: Down To The Wire

Latest musical act to headline in Newcastle, spearheaded by star of Hit Aussie Netflix Show, Heartbreak High.
Rising star of the Australian hit TV series, Heartbreak High, the remake, Bryn Chapman Parish, is currently touring Australia with his band Mac the Knife.
They’re scheduled to play at venues across Australia, including our very own backyard in Newcastle, at the Hamilton Station in October.
The band itself consists of three other members: Curtis Van Haasteren, Jonny Sandstrom, Gerry Thompson, and Anthony Delorenzo.
The band was born out of the grunge scene in Sydney, with a post-punk feel to their music, which keeps their audience captivated. many have praised the band since their debut as new and fresh, and one of the best music groups to come straight out of Sydney.
This tour is to promote their newest EP, Down To The Wire, a startling new song that’s quickly climbing in views on Spotify and other streaming services.
The band are currently planning 8 shows in different cities across Australia in October, with different supporting acts from each town, including our very own local post-punk bands Butterknife and Soyboy.
Both groups are popular acts in the area, with successful shows throughout their careers, known as the bands to see in Newcastle amongst the live music scene.
Mac the Knife is quickly selling out, and between their newest hit Icarus which was released this year, and their debut single Labor in Pain that debuted in 2022.
Their music stays consistent across the board with their clear message of raw emotional carnage and invokes a strong sense of catharsis from their audience, truly making them an act not to be missed.
