Free courses to help new students prepare for study

The University of Newcastle is running free bridging courses at the Callaghan, Ourimbah and Port Macquarie campuses to help commencing students prepare for study.

A range of introductory courses covering essay writing, academic skills, mathematics, statistics, linguistics, grammar, computers, chemistry, and human biology will be on offer.

Courses run for approximately 15 hours over one week.

The courses are open to students commencing an undergraduate degree or a foundation program.

Applications for bridging courses open January 17. Students can apply for courses once they have accepted their offer to study at the University of Newcastle. Visit here for information on how to apply.
