Remember the days of drive-in cinemas and well slicked back hair?
Me either. I feel like the only way I can connect with the 50’s rock and roll culture is through watching Grease or Cry Baby on repeat. But never fear, because this weekend the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival will be happening from Friday through to Sunday the 30th.
Why not put on your blue suede shoes and dance your way out to Kurri Kurri? It’s only a half an hour drive out of Newcastle!
This festival has had great support in the past decade and this year will be no exception with the program choca block full of fantastic dances, market stalls, and live entertainment.
If you get the chance, International Pin-up gal Cherry Dollface will be making appearances on the Saturday and Sunday, so why not go say hello. And while you’re cruising about town go check out the Show and Shine featuring vintage cars, kustom cars, and an abundance of hotrods.
More details can be found at the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival website.
