UON’s iLEAD Plus program, devoted to furthering leadership skills and international awareness amongst students, has organised the event in order to help build skills in a range of different areas.
The iLEAD Plus program allows students to meet individuals who are professionals within their respected feilds; one of the reasons Lee Lin Chin is perfect for the talk at UON.
Chin’s many roles have ranged broadly throughout her 36-year career, including news reading, research, reporting, interviewing, selecting and programming music, commercial voice-overs, and production on small segments. As a high-profile figure, her work has led her to the nomination for a Gold Logie earlier this year; the first SBS personality to receive such recognition.

So, have you ever wanted to know how to get your foot in the door in the media industry, or wanted fashion advice from a fashion extraordinaire? Wondered what type of training you need for news reporting, or wanted general advice on the industry? Lee Lin Chin’s seminar will highlight some key issues, and open a Q&A session with the audience afterwards. The program is open to all students and the wider public with no restrictions.
