Get ahead in the Asian Century and study overseas with a New Colombo Plan scholarship for undergraduate students worth up to $67,000.

The scholarships are part of the Federal government’s coveted New Colombo Plan international scholarships program, and enable students to undertake part of their studies at an overseas institute and an internship or mentorship in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan or Singapore.

Scholarships are worth a maximum of $67,000 for one year of study.

40 students from across the country will be selected for the pilot phase of the scholarship program. A further roll-out of the program across the region will take place next year, and the government has announced $100 million towards the program over the next 5 years.

Students will be selected on personal merit. For more information on selection criteria, visit here.

Students must submit an expression of interest to the university’s International Office by the close of business on Friday, February 21. The university will then select five students to nominate for the scholarship. Students will be notified before February 28 if nominated.

To be eligible, students must have completed at least one year of their undergraduate degree and be an Australian citizen aged between 18 and 28-years-old.
